GO! Franciscan Youth Meeting

Young people aged between 18 and 33, believers and non-believers, from all over Europe

We come together to share our lives, offering opportunities for listening, dialogue, formation, prayer and celebration.

The Holy Father will meet with young people in Europe on August 6th, Pope Leo XIV in Santa Maria degli Angeli (Assisi)

Plan

• Monday 3 august

​Afternoon

Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, there will be an official welcome in the square of Santa Maria degli Angeli, in front of the Basilica, for check-in, the delivery of kits to participants, and the sorting of groups to their accommodations (gyms and other dedicated facilities).

Evening

The official opening of the event will be held at 9:30 pm in the Piazza Inferiore di San Francesco.

• Tuesday 4 august

Morning and Afternoon

The day will be dedicated to workshops held at various locations in Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli.

Evening

An evening of fellowship and shared celebration. Awards ceremony for the top three winners of the “Jubil Music” competition.

• Wednesady 5 august

​Morning and Afternoon

The day will be dedicated to workshops that build on what emerged from the previous day’s workshops.

Evening

An evening of fellowship with testimonies and a moment of prayer.

• The program of the day with the Pope

The morning of Thursday, August 6th will see its culmination at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where the Pope will make a pilgrimage alongside the children:

• 9:00 am: The Holy Father will meet with young people, offering a spiritual compass for facing the challenges of the present in the spirit of St. Francis.
• 10:30 am: Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Pope Leo XIV.
• Conclusion: The celebration will conclude with the missionary mandate, a symbolic sending that will call the young people of Europe to bring back to their lands the freshness of the Gospel and Franciscan joy.
